A new ebook was recently released from the Digital Photography School that I ordered and will be reviewing in the next few days. Just briefly “leafing” through the ebook I have already come across several good tips on how to not only capture light, but the way colour plays into the overall mood of the final image.
Not only does global travel photographer Mitchell Kanashkevich share his insights in the four chapters loaded with images, he also poses exercises for the reader to take away and put into practice what he illustrates so vividly. He takes the reader through a typical analysis of an image and weighs the contents of the image with what is attempting to be expressed and how to achieve it. There are also examples of how different treatments to an image will evoke different moods and how colour temperature plays a vital part.
